This Privacy Policy explains how Petzly collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Petzly mobile app, website, and related services.

1. Who we are

Petzly is a mobile app that helps people create AI-generated videos and images from pet photos. In this policy, "Petzly," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Petzly.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information created by your use of Petzly, including:

  • Account information, such as identifiers, email address, username, profile details, and authentication state.
  • Pet and media information, such as pet profiles, uploaded photos, generated images or videos, drafts, captions, and posts.
  • Purchase and entitlement information, such as subscriptions, credits, purchase status, and product identifiers.
  • Support information, such as messages you send to us and related contact details.
  • Device, log, analytics, and diagnostic information, such as device type, app version, IP address, crash reports, feature usage, and events.

3. Photos, videos, and AI generation

Petzly processes pet photos and prompts so the app can create AI-generated media. Your uploads and generated outputs may be sent to AI generation and storage providers so the requested feature can work. Do not upload content unless you have the right to use it.

Generated content may be stored so you can view drafts, download media, share posts, or retry generation. If you publish or share generated content, it may become visible to other users or people who receive your shared link.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve Petzly.
  • Create, store, and display AI-generated media.
  • Authenticate accounts and keep account data in sync.
  • Process purchases, credits, subscriptions, refunds, and entitlement checks.
  • Send service messages, notifications, and support replies.
  • Detect abuse, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot bugs.
  • Measure app performance and understand how features are used.

5. Third-party services

We use service providers to run Petzly. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Providers may include:

  • Clerk for authentication and account management.
  • RevenueCat, Apple, and Google platform services for purchases, subscriptions, credits, and app distribution.
  • OneSignal for push notifications.
  • Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics.
  • PostHog for product analytics and usage measurement.
  • FAL.ai for AI media generation workflows.
  • Cloudflare and Cloudflare R2 for hosting, media storage, delivery, and security.

6. When we share information

We share information with service providers where needed to operate Petzly, comply with law, protect rights and safety, complete business transfers, or with your direction, such as when you publish or share content.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private pet photos for unrelated advertising.

7. Notifications and communications

If you allow push notifications, Petzly may send account, generation, social, promotional, or service-related notifications. You can manage push permissions in your device settings. We may also reply to support requests by email.

8. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Petzly, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and keep backups. Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can request help at support@petzly.app.

You can also manage device permissions, notification settings, and app access through your device and app store account.

10. Children

Petzly is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Petzly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. International processing

Petzly and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

12. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date above or providing an in-app notice.
